About Heidi
Heidi Kerring was born and raised in Germantown, Maryland. She began acting in theatre at a very young age starring in school plays such as Annie in "Annie," and Hodel in "Fiddler on the Roof," as well as studying theatre in acting classes. By the age of 14 she discovered acting for the camera which turned out to be love at first sight. She began doing extra work on major motion pictures such as ‘Rocket Science.’
Heidi continued acting in high school on the stage in school productions, and maintained acting for the camera classes on the side after school. After high school graduation, she made a leap to sunny Florida where she studied Elementary Education at the University of Central Florida. While there, she earned film credits by being cast in student films at both UCF and the neighboring film school, Full Sail.
During her time at UCF, Heidi took an elite on-camera acting class, outside of her college classes, with L.A actress Yvonne Suhor where she studied Meisner. For her last year of college, Heidi decided to move back to Maryland and complete her education at Towson University in Baltimore, Maryland, in Communications. During her senior year at Towson, she acquired more student film credits and her first IMDB credits by landing speaking roles in independent films.
After graduating, Heidi made the move to L.A where she took classes including Lesly Kahn, Upright Citizens Brigade, and the art of Soap Operas with "Bold and the Beautiful" casting director, Christy Dooley; to name a few. Shortly after, Heidi was cast in a SyFy webseries which earned her SAG eligibility, along with working on the set of ‘Bold and the Beautiful,’ and playing alongside Hilary Duff in the movie ‘She Wants Me’.
With an itch to see the world, Heidi decided to travel and moved to Australia where she studied advanced acting at Screenwise in Sydney.
Upon her return to L.A in 2012, she hit the ground running being cast in a new comedy webseries, as well as a short comedic film which went on to win multiple awards. She continued her acting studies which included studying at Anthony Meindl's Workshop. From then on, Heidi starred in a short film which was up for best dramatic short at the Bare Bones Film Festival, co-starred in a comedic short film, and joined the cast of the popular web series 'Youthful Daze' which she filmed for 3 seasons.
In 2017, Heidi decided to head back east to Maryland to be closer to home where she met her husband, Nick. After attempting a career change, Heidi taught in Elementary Schools, while filming small acting gigs on the side, until the acting bug hit hard again.
Heidi and her husband returned to Los Angeles in the summer of 2024 fully committed to move forward with her acting career, and excited that this time she'd be able to play a whole new age range of characters.
